SPECIAL TASK FORCE (STF)

An officer at the level of an Inspector General of Police heads the STF.

The personnel of this force, are trained in the prevention of hijacking, tackling armed militancy, insurgency, terrorist activities, kidnapping of VIPs for ransom etc. The force is also trained to assist the local police during major calamities and is currently being used for anti-naxalite operations all over the state.
