militant of Al Umma – aged 38/2003 - native of Nagore in Nagapattinam.
Ø Identification: 5’ 4” tall – dark complexion
– medium build – hair - black.
Ø He studied upto IX th standard.
Ø He is a religious bigot known for his deep-rooted hatred towards
Hindu zealots.
Ø In 1995, Abubacker Siddique, with the assistance of his associates
Haroon Ismail of Nagore, Rifayee of Karaikal, Raja Hussein of Madurai,
Zahir Hussein and Zubeir of Coimbatore, in a bid to murder one Muthukrishnan,
District Organiser of Hindu Front in Nagore and Jeyaveerapandian, District
Organiser of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for Mayiladuthurai, mailed two
parcel bombs to the address of Muthukrishnan and Jeyaveerapandian. As
Muthukrishnan was away, his wife Thangam, who received the parcel became
the victim of the parcel bomb explosion while the parcel bomb mailed to
Jeyaveerapandian was detected before it could be delivered at his house.
Ø He has been absconding since 1997.
Ø The State Government has announced a reward of Rs.2/- lakhs for
furnishing information leading to his arrest.
Ø He got married to one Tajunnisha Begum. a native of Thopputhurai
near Nagore secretly even as he has been absconding and their marriage
took place in a mosque run by JAQH at Muthupettai in Thanjavur District.
Ø During 1999, Abubacker Siddique met Zahir Hussein of Coimbatore
at his hideout in Ilaiyankudi. Zahir Hussein disclosed to Abubacker Siddique
his proposal to detonate bombs in various places in Tiruchirappalli, Coimbatore
and Chennai to avenge the alleged harassment of the Muslim detenus in
Coimbatore and Chennai Central Prisons. Abubacker Siddique and other members
of the conspiracy Ahmed Amane went to Virudhunagar and procured raw materials
for manufacturing bombs. After the preparation of bombs, Zahir Hussein
directed Abubacker Siddique to plant bombs in Cochin – Kerala Express
train. When Abubacker Siddique was travelling in the train with the explosives,
they produced fumes and hence, he got down without detonating them and
left for Mumbai.
