CAPACITY BUILDING

Capacity building is treated as a highly critical component of CCTNS.  The objective of CCTNS Capacity building (CB) initiatives is to empower the direct users and other stakeholders of CCTNS to optimally use CCTNS and enhance outcome in crime investigation, criminal tracking and other core police functions, and ensure a smooth functioning of CCTNS.

Funds have been allocated for strengthening the training infrastructures at the District Headquarters. The infrastructure component would be one Server with 10 Client Computers, 1 UPS, LCD projector and furniture for each one of the Commissionerates/District besides 2 Railway Districts, SCRB and 3 Training Institutions. Funds for site preparation and other peripherals for the training centre would be provided depending on the requirement.

Capacity Building Personnel Training : IT Basics Training will be given to various police executives numbering 87892 (approx.). This would include creation of training material and designing the training material programs on ‘Creating Awareness of Benefits of ICT and Development of Basic Computer Skills” and their delivery to the target groups.

MHA would be releasing funds for the year 2009-2010 under the heads as per the table below
