Hours Awareness Campaign on Road Traffic safety.
Concerned by the loss of valuable human lives
by Road Mishaps, the Kancheepuram police on 10.08.08, under the
personal guidance of the Superintendent of Police Tr. K. Periaiah
the "break-in- journey" road safety principle during
wee hours campaign was launched near Toll Plaza in Sriperumbudur,
on the Chennai - Bangalore National Highway to create awareness
to the drivers of buses & goods carriers about road safety
and safe driving.
During the awareness campaign, the motorist
were stopped by their police friends, and asked to refresh themselves
by washing their face and by offering them a cup of tea.
