Qualifications/Norms/Marks in Recruitment of Sub-Inspectors of Police (Men)

As per G.O. Ms.No 834, Home (Pol.III) Dept. dated 10.09.2001

	Age 20-28 Years
	Age relaxation S.C./S.T. 33 Years.
	Ex- Servicemen-Within 3 years from the date of discharge subject to a maximum of 45 years.
	Height minimum 170 cm
	Height Relaxation SC/ST - 167 cm
	Chest Normal 81 cms with an expansion of 5 cms i.e.81-86 cms
	Educational qualification ANY DEGREE
	Physical Efficiency and Endurance Test - Running 5kms in 20 Minutes

Successful candidates have to undergo Physical Efficiency Test as follows. 3 events with a minimum qualifying marks of 9. (ONE star in 2 events and TWO stars in 1 event) and a maxmimum of 15 marks.

VIVA VOCE DISPENSED WITH

	Sports quota : Existing 10% quota shall continue.If it isnot possible to fill up the sports quota of 10% the gap be filled up by the dependents of the serving personnel.
	Quota for dependents of serving police personnel etc : 10% quota under direct recruitment for dependents of the serving police personnel and the wards/dependents of retired, deceased and medically invalidated police personnel.
	NOTE: The total percentage under serial No.1 & 2 should not exceed 20%
